Celebrating 50 years

Shouts of joy and stories abounded as present and former members greeted one another in the heart of St. Louis to clebrate the 50th anniversary of Bethesda Mennonite Church. What had been born in the projects and row houses of St. Louis, had multiplied as a blessing for thousands of people across the country.

Former pastor, Harold Schwartzentruber, reflects on the highs and lows of ministry in a sermon which he indicated had taken him 50 years to prepare.

A large youth and children's choir pointed to the future of the congregation as they performed songs and a liturgical dance.
